Today, I’m thrilled to share with you a special elopement session I had the honor to capture in Forsyth Park. As a local Savannah photographer, Forsyth Park holds a special place in my heart, and it was an absolute delight to witness Regina and Timmy’s love story unfold beneath the majestic oak trees.
Regina and Timmy’s journey to this special day is one that tugs at the heartstrings. Their paths first crossed during their school days, and although they had a brief crush on each other, life led them in separate directions. Fate, however, had other plans in store for them. Years later, their lives intersected once again, igniting a spark that would turn into forever.
Their story is like something straight out of a romance novel. After just a week of phone conversations, Timmy knew he was destined to marry Regina. Fast forward to September 2022 when they finally met up in person after all these years. The connection was undeniable, and it didn’t take long for them to realize that this was the love they had been waiting for.
In April 2023, Timmy proposed, and in May, they decided to tie the knot in a small and intimate elopement. Forsyth Park was the natural choice for Regina, a place where she has always appreciated its beauty and tranquility.
Enter me, Morgan Forbes, who serendipitously came into Regina’s life when our paths crossed at Memorial Health Hospital. Some of you may not know this, but before my photography career – I was a nurse! I had the privilege to work alongside Regina, where we clicked instantly. When she reached out to me to capture her special day, I couldn’t have been more thrilled.
As a Savannah native, I’ve witnessed the charm and allure of Forsyth Park in all its glory. However, this was my first elopement shoot at this enchanting location, and it was simply magical. Although it was a bustling Saturday, nothing could affect this couple and their desire to come as one on this day.
With the iconic Forsyth Park fountain in the background, we found a secluded spot under an oak tree, which provided a gentle shade over them. The day was alive with anticipation as Regina and Timmy had decided not to see each other before the ceremony, heightening the sense of excitement and anticipation.
Despite the park’s buzz, we managed to find a tranquil spot where they could immerse themselves fully in their love for one another. Intimacy, love, and excitement filled the air, and I knew I had to capture every precious moment.
Regina had expressed her desire for the time to be quick yet incredibly special and intimate. I connected to her vision, understanding the significance of this day and how these moments would be etched into their memories forever.
As the ceremony commenced, the world seemed to fade away, leaving only Regina, Timmy, and their love in focus. The quiet whispers of vows exchanged and the warmth of their smiles painted the perfect portrait of love beneath the oak trees.
For a brief moment, time stood still as Regina and Timmy became one, and I clicked away, capturing the essence of their union. It was a day filled with surprises and emotions, and I was humbled to be a part of it all.
